SCOOP STACK
What is the Oklahoma
SCOOP STACK?
SCOOP
Known as the South Central Oklahoma Oil Providence, or SCOOP. It is layered with Hoxbar, Springer, Hunton, Woodford and Caney formations. These areas are prime production elements in the larger Anadarko Region, with an EIA production forecast projecting over half a million barrels of oil per day (BPD) at the end of 2018.
STACK
Known as the Sooner Trend Anadarko Canadian Kingfisher, or STACK. This formation allows for strong initial production rates and competitive drilling costs. Located in the Anadarko Basin, it is a prominent location for pay zones and exploitation of fossil fuels at multiple depths. Other areas with favorable stacking include Hunton, Chester, Oswego, Meramec and Osage.
